Drilling Services NTS, Inc. has two drilling rigs that utilize direct push technology and hollow stem auger capabilities for subsurface site investigations. Direct push subsurface investigations are accomplished using our Geoprobe 5400 mounted on a Ford F-350 and our track mounted Geoprobe 6620D.
Direct push technology uses the static weight of the carrier vehicle and hydraulic percussion to advance small diameter tooling to define and characterize site conditions. The direct push technology allows for minimal soil cuttings and generates no excess soil. Direct push can obtain soil, groundwater and soil gas samples at required depths up to 100 feet depending on site conditions.
